Meet your dentists…

Minh Lam, general dentist

Dr Lam, dentist in DDO

I obtained my Doctor of Dental Medicine diploma at Université de Montréal in 1987.

I opened my first dental clinic in 1988 close to the Jean-Talon market in Montreal.

In 1989, I became a faculty member in the Faculté de Médecine Dentaire de l’Université de Montréal. I participated in the training of Québec’s dentists as a clinical instructor in the Restorative department. I guided students in their 3rd and 4th years in their clinical development with their patients. I am passionate about working in a university environment, where professors and researchers are constantly on the lookout for new knowledge, and where young students are filled with the desire to learn.

In 1995, Dr. Mylène Scott joined my dental office, and in 2004, we took over the clinic of a retiring dentist in DDO.

I touch on all aspects of general dentistry, but my main areas of interest are surgery and periodontics.

My practice is enriched every year by continuing education courses that I follow diligently. I also participate in exchanges with colleagues at universities and in study circles.

Dr Scott, dentist in DDO

I obtained a Doctorat en Médecine Dentaire at Université de Montréal and joined Dr. Lam’s first dental office in 1995.

While still practicing in the private sector, I was recruited in 2003 to become part of the Faculté de Médecine Dentaire de l’Université de Montréal as a clinical instructor for 3rd and 4th year students.

I am most passionate about endodontics (root canal) and aesthetic dentistry. I am always on the lookout for new knowledge in our discipline. I exchange with my university colleagues and conference mates, and I also love to read specialized publications in our field.

My voluntary involvement in the Journées Dentaires du Québec is a testament to my interest in the field of dentistry in Montreal.

I was attracted to the West Island because I saw the potential to work and also live there. Thus, I made Dollard-des-Ormeaux my home because I appreciate the working environment, the community surrounding it, and the quality of life in the region.

We have been serving our clientele for almost 10 years now, and we have enjoyed it every step of the way.

Dr.Lam and Dr. Scott are members of the Ordre des Dentistes du Québec and of the Association des Chirurgiens Dentistes du Québec.

Sylvie, dental secretary

Sylvie, dental receptionist

Having been in customer service for several years, I decided to make a career change some ten years ago. I chose to become a receptionist in dental field.

My work brings me joy since I am helping patients. Mainly, I take care of giving appointments, but I also listen to theirs needs and answer theirs various questions.

My greatest happiness are my family and I have a passion for travel.

Brandy, dental hygienist

Brandy, dental hygienist

I obtained my Dental Hygiene Diploma at John Abbott College. My passion for my work as a dental hygienist is based on two points: the dental health of our patients and the development of a relationship of trust with them.

I love telling the patients about the different aspects of dental hygiene and their impacts on the human body as a whole. It is important to me that people know what is going on in their mouth!

I want their experience with me to be as pleasant as possible, so I make sure that I am gentle and careful, creating a painless experience

Alexandra, dental assistant

Alexandra, dental assistant

I was first attracted to the field of dentistry when speaking with my own dentist. I thus decided to enroll in the dental assistant course at the Pearson Adult Career Center. I then joined Dr. Lam and Dr. Scott’s team. I enjoy assisting dentists and taking care of our patients’ comfort.

My goal is that the patient leave the clinic with a smile.
